Circles in the Square
About

A living room for
the neighbourhood.

Circles in the Square began with a simple idea: a warm, unhurried place where people come together to grow, to gather, and to wonder.

Our story

The time is ripe for gathering.

Many of us feel anxious and isolated. Things seem to be falling apart, and we often feel helpless in the face of declining ecological and social systems. The time is ripe for gathering our essential selves — to learn together, then express ourselves in the world, whether discussing current issues, designing spirit collages, or just dancing for the joy of it.

Susan Wright, a spiritual entrepreneur with a circle of colleagues, envisions a community belonging space for quiet contemplation, deep conversation, and creative arts — where we connect with self and others, and draw from our collective stories to sense right actions.

Part of something larger

One of the Humanity Centres.

Circles is a storefront within the Humanity Centres family — places that believe community and consciousness are essential to being human. We share their way of grouping what we do: Me for personal growth, Us for community, All of Us for the bigger picture.

About Humanity Centres
Our values

How we gather.

Welcoming ALL

Everyone belongs. Come exactly as you are.

Learning Consciously

Growing in awareness, together.

Expressing Creatively

Art, voice, and making as ways in.

Contributing Generously

A reciprocity of generosity — give what you can.

We operate as a gift economy with a philosophy of abundance — we thank you for your presence.

Love in Action

How we grow.

At the heart of what we do: being who we are, seeing what is needed, and loving it into being.

Love in Action — Being Who I Am, Seeing What Is Needed, Loving It Into Being

The people behind it.

A small, devoted group who hold the space and keep the kettle on.

Our facilitators

The friends who bring their circles to the Square this fall.

Support

Circles runs on generosity. Your gift keeps the kettle on and the door open.

Ways to give
Support Circles

A reciprocity of generosity.

The invitations at Circles are freely offered, and the space is given too. In return, we invite a donation within your means — a reciprocity of generosity that, like a circle, is received and then offered, received and offered again. Program gifts go directly to the facilitator; gifts to Circles help keep the room warm and the door open.
